Museum-worthy masterworks
Galerie Lowet de Wotrenge has helped several museums expand their collections with beautiful works of art, be it old master paintings, old master drawings or sculptures. We are grateful to these institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), the Germanisches Nationalmuseum (Nuremberg), the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam), the Royal Museum of Fine Arts (Antwerp), Museum Plantin-Moretus (Antwerp), the Museo di Capodimonte (Naples), Stedelijk Museum Breda, the Royal Museum of Art and History (Brussels), the Krannert Art Museum (Champaign, Illinois), the Snijders / Rockoxhuis (Antwerp), Museum Boijmans van Beuningen (Rotterdam), the Davis Museum (Wellesley, Massachusetts), the Nasjonalmuseet (Oslo), the Rubenshuis (Antwerp) and many others, for putting their trust in our expertise.
We have lent works of art for exhibitions in several museums such as the Catharijneconvent (Utrecht), Villa Vauban (Luxemburg) and the Rubenshuis (Antwerp). Furthermore, we are proud sponsors of CODART, the international network of curators of art from the Low Countries.
In addition, private collectors the world over have found their way to our gallery. It is in no small part due to their continued support and passion that we have been able to sustain and grow our endeavor to pursue, research and present curious, interesting and beautiful works of art. Our thanks go out to all of them. Below you can see some of our most significant institutional and private sales over the past years.
