The present work, a group of three putti playfully fighting over a bunch of grapes, compares very favourably to a terracotta bozzetto for a garden fountain attributed to Jan Pieter I, in the King Baudouin Foundation (inv. no. 19 - CVH IC; on permanent loan to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp), especially in the treatment of the hands, feet and faces.
